Questions I get from time-to-time.
Do you get paid for this blog?
Nope! I started this blog for fun and to expand my portfolio as a writer. All of this is unpaid labor. Actually, I’m paying for this account and my newspapers.com subscription, so technically I’m losing money…ha.
I’m interested in researching a historical topic in Cooper County. Can you help me?
I can try! Give me a holler at email@example.com and I’ll point you in the right direction.
Why haven’t you been updating?
Ouch, this question always makes me feel guilty. I started this blog when I was leaving a job and kept up with it during my two months of unemployment. When I began my new job, keeping Katy Tales updated became less fun and more of a chore. However, I’m still around and plan to be more proactive about updating. I’m also writing a book through the publishing company Arcadia Publishing about the history about the entire Katy Trail (!) which has kept me busy. Turns out writing a book is kind of hard!
Why has my comment been deleted?
I deleted all comments earlier last year because I wanted to make some structural changes to the blog (which I never did…it’s on my to-do list…) I also changed my comment policy – I have to approve every comment before it is published.
I want to give you a million dollars! How can I do that?
Okay, fine. Nobody’s asked me that. But a gal can dream, right?
